Why Is Scotland the 'Drug Deaths' Capital of Europe?
I don’t see any mention of helping addicts to get off drugs which is astonishing - seems like a self-serving, self-perpetuating cottage industry where lots of people make a good living by ensuring drug users stay on drugs instead of tackling their addiction and getting clean

It's astonishing that the thrust of the Scottish Government's policy on drugs is to help people manage their addiction - instead of 'getting clean' and coming off drugs.
I can understand stabilising people in the short-term, but the present set up is like a self-serving, self-perpetuating cottage industry where lots of 'professionals' make a very good living by ensuring drug users stay on drugs
