Former first minister is following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Nicola Sturgeon, who earned £25,000 from her role as an election pundit for ITN

Nicola Sturgeon should have stood down as an SNP MSP when she resigned as First Minister.
Her focus these days is clearly not on the constituents of Glasgow Southside and accepting £25,000 for an evening's election punditry with ITN is a sign of just how out of touch Sturgeon and the SNP have become.
Nicola and her protege Humza Yousaf have now set up private companies to receive payments for work done outside of the Scottish Parliament - yet both she and Yousaf are paid full-time salaries as MSPs.
