SNP, Glasgow and Equal Pay
Low paid women workers who were discriminated against in Glasgow had to go on strike to force the SNP led city council to finally abandon its ‘unfit for purpose’ pay arrangements

The SNP also argued in Scotland’s highest civil court that its pay scheme was not discriminatory!
Lorna Finn is standing as an SNP candidate in a Glasgow council by-election on Thursday 21 November.
I don't have a vote, but I did comment on Lorna's by-election post on X and her claims about Glasgow's fight for equal pay.
The truth is low paid women in Glasgow had to fight the SNP council every bit as hard as the previous Labour council.
Both parties defended the council's discriminatory pay arrangements - the SNP even appealed the initial decision in the Court of Session, Scotland highest civil court, before a two-day strike finally forced a settlement of a long running dispute.
