Surviving Cancer
AA Gill wrote a very powerful piece last week for The Sunday Times describing his experience as a cancer patient.
Lots of people commented on the article at the time, often referring as he did to the support he had from the NHS, particularly the staff involved with his treatment.
But the most glaring issue to emerge from what Gill had to say, if you ask me, is that cancer survival rates in the UK are the lowest in Europe - and Scotland's survival rate (46.6%) is the worst in the UK.
