Carry On Corbyn

The boss of the TUC Frances O'Grady is the latest to tell Jeremy Corbyn to get his act together as leader of the Labour Party.

Not surprisingly, Frances has warned Jezza that Labour must focus on 'bread and butter' issues if it is to stand any chance of winning the next general election in 2020.

I imagine that equal pay is the kind of issue Frances has in mind, but I suspect her words will fall  on deaf ears because Jeremy Corbyn has been saying the same things for the past 33 years as a backbench Westminster MP.

So I can't see the leopard changing his spots now at 66 years of age.

Because at heart Jeremy's a big fan of 'municipal socialism' and old-fashioned councils like North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire which have helped damage to the Labour Party's reputation in Scotland over their handling of equal pay.

Both council areas became Labour-free zones at the 2015 Westminster elections and if there's any justice in the world, the same thing will happen at the Scottish Parliament elections in 2016, as far as constituency seats are concerned.
