Leadership Farce

The Sunday Times ran an interesting story yesterday in which it suggested that Labour leadership election had descended into complete farce and may need to be called off.

Apparently more than 140,000 new 'activists' are projected to have joined the party in time to take part in the leadership vote with unlikely bedfellows like the Telegraph newspaper and the Unite union urging their followers to support Jeremy Corbyn, albeit for very different reasons.

A veteran of Labour's ruling national committee is quoted as saying:

"It is pretty clear that what is happening amounts to infiltration of the Labour party."

You can read the full Sunday Times article via the following link, but what it highlights if you ask me is the need for One Member One Vote and the nonsense of allowing people to vote in a leadership election when they are not full Labour party members.
