Here's a moving and sincere tribute to Jimmy Reid from one of our regular readers in North Lanarkshire:

Just reading your blog, Very saddened to hear of Jimmy Reid's passing.

My father was a shiprite and was very involved with Jimmy during the UCS strike, when Unions were for the people (working class).

My father will be turning in his grave watching the sad way the unions are handling matters today.
