Scotland on Sunday reports that big council tax rises are likely next year now that Scottish minsters have lifted the freeze on local increases by individual councils.

Just one year ago, during his short and disastrous spell as Scotland's First Minister, Humza 'The Brief' Yousaf insisted that a council tax freeze was necessary to protect hard working Scots.

The Courier newspaper reports that now the shackles are off SNP led Perth and Kinross is planning to raise council tax by an eye-watering 10 per cent next year.
