Swinney, Self-ID and the SNP

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but did John Swinney not support the SNP's absurd gender identity bill which would have allowed 16 and 17-year-olds to self-ID and declare they have suddenly transformed into the opposite sex?

"Young people aged 16 and 17 will be allowed to change their legal gender after the Scottish government rejected moves to keep the minimum age at 18."
