Epic Mistakes (February 04, 2014)


I'll say one thing about Gerald Ratner - at least he can laugh at himself.

The man who is credited with destroying his long standing family jewellers chain - Ratners - in an ill-judged speech back in 1991 or thereabouts is featured in this great You Tube video - which compares his 'epic fail' to one or two others down the years.

And the good news is that it's genuinely funny.

SNP - 'Mr&Mrs' Politburo

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
