So Much For 'The Will Of The People'

Fergus Ewing explains to The Times that he represents the views of “a substantial majority” of his constituents in Inverness and Nairn by voting against Nicola Sturgeon's Self-ID bill.

“Their concerns, expressed to me in fairly large numbers, are primarily that existing checks and balances protecting young people, some of whom may be vulnerable, should remain in place; and that privacy of female-only places, such as toilets and changing rooms should be preserved”

The same goes for the rest of Scotland, of course, which means that Nicola Sturgeon is riding roughshod over the views of  Scottish voters including most SNP supporters.

So much for democracy and the will of the people.
