Dicing With Death

Max von Sydow passed away the other day after a remarkable acting career which spanned some great movies including:

The Seventh Seal
The Greatest Story Ever Told
The Emigrants
The Exorcist
Three Days of the Condor
Pelle the Conqueror
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

One of Max's best known scenes came from The Seventh Seal in which the von Sydow character, a medieval knight named Antonius Block plays chess with Death.

But there's also a great, inspirational spoof version of this famous encounter in 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey' which always makes me laugh.

Apparently Bill and Ted have made a sequel to 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Journey' (1989) and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) with 'Bill & Ted Face the Music' which is due for release in 2020.
