Telling It Straight (26/01/18)

Frances Stojilkovic gives The Times journalist Marc Horne a piece of her mind for suggesting that Glasgow City Council may have to make unprecedented cuts in jobs and services to meet its obligations over equal pay.

Now I know women are great at 'multitasking', but Frances is doing this while she's away on holiday which is above and beyond the call of duty.

So let's see what The Times has to say tomorrow after Stefan and Frances have put the paper's gas at a peep.

Maybe we'll also find out who's behind this ridiculous, scaremongering talk.

Frances

Hi Marc I believe your doing a story about our equal pay im one of the woman that's due a pay out and feel victimised again for getting what is ours we have worked all these years under paid and under valued we have been ripped off for years with GCC and the GMB union that Hasn't even fought for us woman for the second wave claim.WPBR so no we don't feel guilty for getting what should have been ours all these years some of my friends and college's have passed Way waiting on a settlement as Susan Aitken said its there problem and they will find the money to pay gave it is ours without its to our service users of you want to give me a call back feel free to do so .

Marc Horne

That's really helpful Frances. Many thanks! I agree with Susan. You all deserve to get what you earned and this historic wrong needs to be put right.x

You really have! Looks like the council is going to ask the Scottish and UK governments for loans to help them pay the £500 million bill.x

Frances

Yes but it's not our problem the last Labour council that created this mess so we shouldn't be made to feel guilty for what is ours i.e job cuts and for the council having to borrow the money x

Marc Horne

Very true! I'll make sure that your and Stefan's views are made clear.x

Frances

Without cuts x
