PayFest 2019 - Ticket Update


The latest news about PayFest is that in the past couple of days there has been a big jump in ticket sales and so there are now only around 270 tickets left.

So get your tickets now to avoid disappointment because Glasgow's big equal pay party promises to be a memorable night.

PayFest 2019 - Update and Tickets (04/06/19)


So, now that the settlement process in Glasgow is well underway the focus of attention is switching to PayFest - the big equal pay party at The Barrowlands on Saturday 6th July. 

The live band Massaoke is booked, the Host and DJ for the evening Paul Harper is confirmed and lots more details will follow in the days ahead.

Frances Stojilkovic and the Glasgow Unison Branch also have a supply of tickets which are being sold on a first come first served basis.

I understand that lots of people are organising buses to get them to and from The Barrowlands which sounds like a smart move if you ask me.

More details will follow in the days ahead, but book early to avoid disappointment because PayFest 2019 promises to be a memorable evening.

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
