PayFest 2019 - Glasgow's Big Equal Pay Party

So, now that the settlement process in Glasgow is well underway the focus of attention is switching to PayFest - the big equal pay party at The Barrowlands on Saturday 6th July.

The live band Massaoke is booked, the Host and DJ for the evening Paul Harper is confirmed and lots more details will follow in the days ahead.

Tickets for PayFest are still available and you can get these via the web link below.

Frances Stojilkovic and the Glasgow Unison Branch also have a supply of tickets which are being sold on a first come first served basis.

I understand that lots of people are organising buses to get them to and from The Barrowlands which sounds like a smart move if you ask me.

More details will follow in the days ahead, but book early to avoid disappointment because PayFest 2019 promises to be a memorable evening.

PayFest 2019 - Glasgow's Big Equal Pay Party

I said in a previous post that I would arrange for the Host and DJ for PayFest 2019, Paul Harper, to meet some of the Claimants - ahead of Glasgow's big equal pay party on Saturday 6 July 2019.

So this meeting went ahead yesterday in Van Winkle, a Bar and Grill which is right across the road from The Barrowlands.

Fiona Winchester from Heart Radio was there and interviewed Betty, Frances, Rosie and Yvonne about the PayFest Party and the long fight for equal pay with Glasgow City Council.

The sale of PayFest tickets has taken a back seat while all the settlement letters have been going out, but will start up again in earnest over the next day few days.

Our friends at Van Winkle have kindly offered to host a pre-party gathering on the evening of PayFest and not only is Van Winkle very close to The Barrowlands - the Bar also has a Beer Garden so let's hope its a dry and sunny evening.

More details to follow - so watch this space.

PayFest 2019 - Host and DJ!

Some more exciting news about the line up for PayFest 2019!

Our host and DJ on Saturday 6th July 2019 will be radio presenter Paul Harper, as heard on Scotland's biggest radio stations for the last 20 years, including Beat 106, Real Radio and Heart FM.

Paul was Robbie Williams tour DJ and played in the George Square bells with Paolo Nutini and Deacon Blue.

No doubt Paul will be aiming to pack out the Barrowland   dance floor with some of the biggest party anthems of all time in what promises to be a night to remember!

So be there or be square!
