All Style, No Substance
Total rubbish. The runway in question is in St Helena. I was the DFID Minister who built it - completed early, under budget, and despite difficult wind conditions it operates well. It fulfils our legal obligations to a UK overseas territory and so is not "foreign aid". https://t.co/n4AmL0kBWY— Sir Alan Duncan MP (@AlanDuncanMP) June 12, 2019
Esther McVey dropped out of the Tory leadership contest after coming last in the first ballot in which she received just 9 votes.
What's remarkable is that 9 MPs regarded Esther McVey as prime ministerial material because she's always been about style rather than substance - as evidenced by this Tweet from a Conservative colleague, Sir Alan Duncan.
