Union Members and Self-ID

Unison boss Christina McAnea criticises employers for their handling of trans issues, but the trade unions are just as bad of course - worse even because unions are taking  members' money to represent their interests.

The vast majority of grassroots union members reject self-ID and the absurd notion that men can magically declare themselves to be women.

Christina knows this of course - after all she's a woman, a Glaswegian and been around the trade union movement for most of her life.

The underlying problem is that union policy is activist led via conferences and committees so the views of ordinary members don't count when it comes to issues like self-ID.
