Glasgow: No Claim = Only Pain

Stefan Cross posted on Facebook recently to remind people that if they don't register an equal pay claim, they will lose out big time when it comes to a settlement.

So if anyone out there is näive enough to think that they can sit back and wait for things to drop into their lap - tell them not to be so silly and to get in touch with one of the organisations representing Glasgow claimants, i.e. A4ES, GMB or Unison.

NO CLAIM = ONLY PAIN

I’ve just had an interesting enquiry. Non unions members don’t have a claim, how much will they get?

NOTHING! ZILCH! NADA!

I’m sure there’s a Glaswegian word too.

Now I’ve got a vested interest. The more folk that make claims the more I might make but that doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Not only that but there’s proof, because that’s exactly what has happened in every council. Even when councils have carried out regradings like Fife, only claimants got back pay.

Now it’s possible that people could wait and then put in claims but they’d still get less and that assumes there’s no reason why their claims don’t become out of time.

GCC are currently trawling through every claim hunting for reasons to disqualify claims. You think they’re going to pay folk with no claim? Not a chance. They will not volunteer to pay people, they’ll only do it if forced to do so.

So No Claim = NO BACK PAY, only the PAIN OF DISAPPOINTMENT

We think less than half the folk entitled have made a claim.

So if you want what you’re due, you have to make a claim.
