North Lanarkshire Update



Just a quick post to let Home Support Workers know that 821 out of 994 settlement agreements (83%) have now been returned by A4ES clients in North Lanarkshire.

 I will let readers know when the paperwork has been checked, countersigned and passed over to North Lanarkshire Council for payment, but this is being done as quickly as possible for obvious reasons.

So watch this space.

  

North Lanarkshire Update (23/11/16)



Good news to report regarding the back pay due to Home Support workers in North Lanarkshire Council.

Because well over half of the settlement letter have now been returned to Action 4 Equality Scotland and HBJ Gateley, after just a few days

The next step is for all the completed forms to be checked and countersigned before being passed over to NLC for payment.

I understand the Council has agreed to process the completed paperwork and pay Home Support Workers what they are entitled to as quickly as possible.

So fingers crossed and let's hope that the long-waited monies are paid into people's bank accounts within a matter of days.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
