More Kind Words

 Sometimes people say the nicest things and here are some more kind words from readers in North Lanarkshire. 

 All I would say is that Council's decent, hard-working employees deserve better leaders than the ones who have been 'running' North Lanarkshire for the past 15 years.  

 Dear Mark, 

 I would like to add my thanks and congratulations, along with so many others, for all you have done - I am truly thankful. 

 Your regular updates on the blog reduced the feeling of isolation as well as confirming the wheels were still in motion behind the scenes. 

 With you behind us we felt that we had a voice worth listening to - sitting in the kitchen 'eating cereal' is not an option any more! 

 And ...... as a mother I have no doubt your mum is looking over you with oodles of admiration and pride.

Big thank you for all your blogs regarding Equal Pay, looked forward every night to see what new report you were posting for our information, otherwise we would never have known, let's us see exactly why we pay Union Fees to Unison.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
