Handshake Wars



I don't know if Donald Trump is due to meet the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi anytime soon, but it will be interesting to see how the two men fare in the battle to ensure male dominance with their respective handshakes.

Because Narendra Modi is no slouch in the handshakes wars, as this photograph shows of the Indian PM squeezing the blood out of the Prince William's hand after an over zealous greeting. 



Donald Trump has the weirdest handshake ever, but so far only the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has got the better of America's 'Looney Tune' President by fending him off with a neat shoulder grab which, quite literally, kept the Trumpster at arm's length.

My money's on Modi though with his amazing python-like grip - I wonder if the bookies might take a bet on the outcome?

Is Donald Trump a Freemason? 

I have to admit I don't know, but he's certainly got a really weird handshake - one which seems to terrify the Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe who is clearly very relieved once Trump finally releases his grip.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
