A very Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy New Year when it arrives!
Santa came early for thousands of Glasgow claimants this year and one of the highlights of 2019 has been hearing how the hard fought equal pay settlement has made such a difference to so many people's lives.
The fight for equal pay in Glasgow is not over, of course, and there are still some dragons to slay.
Because the City Council's 'unfit for purpose' WPBR pay scheme is still in operation and will not be replaced until the spring of 2021 - so there's still work to be done.
I'm taking a break from blogging over the festive season, but not everyone is so lucky - so a big 'Thank You!' to all those working over Xmas and New Year.

I hope 2019 is the year when all your hopes and dreams come true!
I'm taking a break from the blog over the festive season, but I take my hat off to the thousands of people who have to work over the holidays - instead of being able to enjoy Christmas and New Year with their friends and families.
Glasgow's Home Carers, for example, are out there in this freezing fog and it's incredible to think we are now going into the 13th year of their long fight for equal pay.
