PayFest Photo Hastag - #Payfest2019



The PayFest party on Saturday will have a 'Social Media Wall' onto which the partygoers will be able to share photos of themselves - and their family and friends.

 Now I've already provided the technical people with lots of photos and memories of Glasgow's long-running equal pay dispute which will be projected on to the wall as partygoers arrive at The Barrowlands. 

 So a big Thank You to all the readers who shared their photos with me for this special occasion.  

 But that's not all because we've also created a special party hashtag - # - to allow people to share their own photos on the night which is:

#Payfest2019

If people send their photos on the night to #Payfest2019 (via their personal twitter/Instagram accounts) they will appear on the Social Media Wall and will also be printed out on the party printer.

And there will be people in The Barrowlands on Saturday who can help explain this to anyone who is 'technically challenged.

Another fun way to help Glasgow's big equal pay party go with a bang is a special PayFest #Printer which will be in use throughout the evening at The Barrowlands.

The #Printer will print your mobile phone photos on the night- with family and friends and will give you some fun keepsakes to take home - perhaps even the sight of Stefan getting a rub down with a not pie!

Here’s how it works;

take a photo on Instagram with your mobile

add the event hashtag which is #Payfest2019
PRINT
collect your print

It’s that SIMPLE!

The #Printer will only work via Instagram with our special hashtag #Payfest2019 on the evening of July 6th at the Glasgow big equal pay party.

But this is your chance to get organised and create an Instagram account which you can do via Facebook - here's a link explaining what the photo-sharing app is all about:

The special PayFest hashtag will be #Payfest2019 but don’t worry there will be signs and we’ll remind you of this throughout the evening.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
