A4ES is trying to contact all clients whose employment has been TUPE transferred from Cordia Services to Baxter Storey.

Here is a letter that's being sent to A4ES clients by this transfer - so spread the word!

Dear A4ES Client

Your Equal Pay Claim - TUPE transfer to Baxter Storey

We have recently been made aware that that a number of Cordia catering employees working at Caledonian University and Glasgow City College have had their employment TUPE transferred from Cordia Services to Baxter Storey.

If you, or anyone you know, was affected by this transfer can you please let us know as soon as possible and send us any documents or letters you received.

It is highly likely that the employers failed to properly consult over these transfers but sadly only a union can bring these claims. If they haven’t already done so we suggest they do so urgently as the time limit is only 3 months from the date of transfer.

It is essential that if you are ever involved in a TUPE transfer that you tell us ASAP.

We are required to update the Tribunal of any TUPE transfer.

You can contact us by email quoting your Full name, address, NI Number and your transfer date to: enquiries@action4equality.co.uk

Yours Sincerely

Action 4 Equality Scotland

Calling Glasgow! (11/07/17)

An existing A4ES client in Glasgow has been in touch to say that her employment with Cordia has been TUPE transferred to a new company called Baxter Story.

Seems likely that this will affect more than just one person, so if readers know of anyone else in this position can you please ask them to get in touch with the A4ES office by dropping a note to: enquiries@action4equality.co.uk

At least some of the staff involved are based at the Glasgow City College and everyone affected by this TUPE transfer will have to have their equal pay claims amended to include the new employer (Baxter Storey) as a Respondent in the ongoing case.

So spread the word Glasgow and help people protect their interests - because neither Cordia, the City Council or the trade unions seem to have explained the position to the relevant employees!
