Labour in Freefall
The Herald reports that the Scottish Labour Party is facing another political tsunami at the local council elections on 4th May 2017.
Now there's no doubt that Jeremy Corbyn is political albatross around Labour's neck north and south of the border because no one other than the most devoted Corbyn cult followers believe that Jezza has a chance of leading Labour to victory at the next general election.
But Labour has also lost its touch on basic 'kitchen sink' issues such as the fight for equal pay in which thousands of low paid women have been doing battle with big Labour-run councils for years.
North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire councils (both former Labour strongholds) finally faced up to their obligations after years of delay and obfuscation through the courts - yet Glasgow City Council still has it ahead in the sand

Scottish Labour faces a "cataclysmic" defeat in next month's local elections, according to a leading polling expert.
Robert Hayward said that the results could show the party has not recovered since 2015, where it was almost wiped out north of the Border at the general election.
He also predicted that across the UK Labour would lose up to 125 council seats on May 4, adding to leader Jeremy Corbyn’s woes.
