When Is Scotland's Drug Deaths Day of Remembrance?


Favor (Faces and Voices of Recovery) say drug addicts in some parts of the country have waited years and died before they could secure treatment. 

The latest Scottish figures show that 1,330 people lost their lives to drug misuse in 2021 - the second highest annual total on record.

Strangely enough I don't recall SNP ministers championing a Drug Deaths Day of Remembrance.

I wonder why - could it be the issue is way down the SNP's list of priorities?

With the murder rate amongst taxi drivers standing at an astonishing 8 per 100,000 what I'd like to know is:

Laughable and Insulting (November 20, 2022)

The Welsh Parliament's attempt to exploit the language of remembrance for the trans lobby is laughable and insulting especially to those with families and loved ones who fought in real conflicts including the fight against fascism and Hitler.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
