Who said politics is dull - what a hoot!   

John Swinney invited Husam Zomlot, head of the Palestinian Mission in the UK, to address the SNP conference in Aberdeen at the weekend. Zomlot has repeatedly refused to condemn the terrorist atrocities committed by Palestinian fanatics on October 7 2023 which triggered the terrible war in Gaza which looks now to be coming to an end. Let's hope the ceasefire in Gaza holds and that prospects for a wider peace in the Middle East continue to improve under the agreement brokered by President Trump.   For this to happen Palestinians need to renounce terrorism, disavow any further October 7 attacks and recognise Israel's right to exist within its own secure borders. Meanwhile politicians in the UK  have a duty to call out the hate marchers who deny Israel's right to exist and call for the Jewish homeland of Israel to be swept into the sea - by any means necessary. If Swinney can't do this, he is no more than a useful idiot. 

How is it possible in 2025 for a dangerous sexual predator, a paedophile who preyed on a 12-year-old girl, to be sent to prison for only 18 months after committing such terrible crimes? Liam Moir will be back on the streets in less than a year which is a damning indictment of Scotland's soft on crime criminal justice system. Sadly John Swinney has more to say about Gaza than he does about the rise in serious sexual crimes in Glasgow.   

Nicola Sturgeon and her acolytes retain their iron grip on the SNP evidenced by the former SNP leader and First Minister being virtually airbrushed out of history with a desultory 14-second tribute at the party's annual conference on the anniversary of his sudden death. Meanwhile Nicola Sturgeon paid a flying visit to Aberdeen to sign copies of her book which she has written since stepping down from front line politics in March 2023 - although she remains a full-time MSP until May 2026.

The SNP would have you believe that this man is really a woman and ought to be allowed to enter women's single sex spaces - because he self-IDs and says he is a woman. But Euan Weddell (aka 'Sophie Molly') is a man, a male trans activist who takes photos of himself in women's toilets, proudly proclaiming that he is 'destroying women's rights', which he then posts on social media. Enough of this nonsense.
