NHS Waiting Times


While most people are struggling with long NHS waiting times - even for emergency 999 ambulances - it's good to see that others manage to receive speedy treatment and in time to make a photo opportunity with the SNP health minister, Humza Yousaf.

A fellow Twitter user contacted me to say she had excellent and quick dentistry treatment from the NHS recently.

Well so have I, in the past, but never on a Sunday and never unless it was a real emergency because of acute pain.

How nice for Ioana Fyfe to receive such speedy treatment, but she must have received special VIP treatment because that’s not most people’s experience with the NHS dental service these days - or the NHS more generally!

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
