Ambulance Blues

A friend of mine in Ayrshire needed an ambulance for her elderly mum aged 93 who required urgent admission into hospital after several falls at home.

The ambulance was requested by no less than two doctors before 11pm on Friday evening and finally arrived at 8.15am on Saturday morning. 

Waiting times are a disgrace and Humza Yousaf should go! 

Scotland's NHS - 15 Years of SNP Rule (November 15, 2022)

Humza Yousaf is without any doubt Scotland's worst ever health minister, but to be fair to him the problems facing the NHS have been building up for the past 15 years.

Nicola Sturgeon is just as much to blame because the SNP have been in power since 2007 and have had plenty of time to decide on their tax and spending priorities.

More money is spent on health services in Scotland than in any other part of the UK - yet we still have two hour waits for ambulances.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
