Trade Unions, Nurses and Single Sex Spaces

Here's an excellent thread on the Darlington nurses' fight for dignity and privacy at work.

So far the nurses have been campaigning without support from the big health unions, Unison and the RCN, which is really shocking - a disgrace in my opinion.

I spent a large part of my life as a trade union activist and full-time official, latterly as Unison's Head of Local Government in Scotland.

I can't think of a good reason for Unison and the RCN not throwing their behind the Darlington nurses and people like Sandie Peggie - because a union's job is to support its members instead of dancing to the tune of trans activists.

Kentucky Fried Seagull
