Good Police Joke

Good police joke from Jeremy Clarkson which really works because it's not too far from the truth given recent events in Sussex and elsewhere!

And remember just over a year ago the Police Scotland arrested a gender critical woman (Marion Millar) on laughable charges which were subsequently abandoned in court.

Public Money and Private Lobby Groups (August 03, 2022)

Northumbria and Thames Valley police are spending public money advertising a controversial lobby group, Stonewall (a private company), whose duff advice resulted in Garden Court Chambers losing a landmark employment rights case recently.

Stonewall, of course, succeeded previously in persuading SNP ministers to drop the word 'mother' from the Scottish Government's maternity policy.


Stonewall, Bogus Complaints and Damaged Goods (July 30, 2022)


Stonewall are irretrievably damaged goods in the wake of the Alison Bailey case. 

Stonewall complained about Bailey, a black lesbian barrister, to her employer Garden Court Chambers (GCC) - who upheld the complaint instead of telling Stonewall to 'get lost'.

In upholding Stonewall's bogus complaint the employment tribunal found that GCC discriminated against Bailey and victimised Bailey for her beliefs.

So much for Stonewall's advice and expertise - I suspect lots of their clients are now running for the door!

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
