ScotGov, Dog's Dinner and Legal Advice
Perm Sec has said she took “composite legal advice” during JR process so assume advice changed at various stages on win/lose until it emerged investigating office had prior involvement. Had that been known at start, advice surely would’ve been ‘stop’? Why wasn’t it known? Basic.

Holyrood Magazine's Mandy Rhodes reports that the Scottish Government took 'composite legal advice' during the judicial review process which led to its investigation into Alex Salmond being stuck down and declared unlawful and by the Court of Session, Scotland's highest civil court.
I have to admit I've never heard the term 'composite legal advice' before, but it sounds like a dog's dinner - a disaster just waiting to happen.
