In Loving Memory - June Harvey



Glasgow's March and Rally for Equal Pay held a minute's silence for all the claimants who have passed away since this long-running dispute began back in 2006/07. 

Here's a Facebook post from Stefan Cross which Remembers June Harvey - another Glasgow Home Carer  who was taken at such an early age. 
LETS NOT FORGET JUNE HARVEY RIP

 June’s daughter in law Charlene McCulley told me:

Hi, this is a picture of my mother in law June Harvey who died in service as a home carer of more than 12 years she worked every hour she could for Cordia and loved her job 28.02.1958 till 8.09.2018.

If she was here today she would have been out supporting the strike we will remain to fight for her in her memory


Thank you Charlene. 

Just a reminder that the longer this goes on the more we lose.

Hopefully the new talks will help us put this right.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
