The Scotsman carried a disturbing article the other day about a man, Ian Ruddock, who has been found guilty of killing his own five-week-old daughter, Olivia, but not of murder.

 No wonder Nathan Matthews, the man accused of murdering his step-sister Becky Watts, is trying to exploit a similar argument in respect of his own trial because instead of a life sentence Ian Ruddock has been sentenced to only 12 years in jail, for killing a defenceless child and inflicting serious injuries on another

A financial adviser who killed his baby daughter and then tried to murder a baby boy two years later has been jailed for 12 years.

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
