Weirdo and Narcissist



The Guardian reports that the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has advised his NSA whistleblower chum, Edward Snowden, to stay put in Russia because Julian says Ed will be safe there from the long reach of America's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

 Now I'm not so sure of that because in recent times it's President Putin's secret security services who have been accused of 'bumping off' his enemies at home and abroad: Boris Nemtsov, Anna Politkovskaya and Alexander Litvinenko to name just a few.     

So while President Putin is happy to shelter Edward Snowden at the moment, his role as a 'useful idiot' is subject to a law of diminishing returns and, at the same time, his stand against the intrusiveness of an over mighty state looks completely idiotic in a gangster capitalist country like Russia.  
The increasingly paranoid Julian Assange also told The Times newspaper, apparently, that he fears being assassinated if he were ever to leave the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, whereas all that would happen to this weirdo and narcissist is that he would be arrested an put on a plane to 'lawless' Sweden where he still faces charges of sexual assault.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
