Poetry Corner (03/09/15)

I've met lots of people during the long fight for equal pay in Scotland and I'm pleased to say that they have many hidden talents which often includes the ability to write poetry and verse.

In this case a close relation of a GMB member from North Lanarkshire casts a scornful eye over the behaviour of her trade union and the local Labour council.

Anyone who has attended one of the recent equal pay meetings in North Lanarkshire will understand exactly what's being said here - and the dangers of taking honest working people for granted.

The Musketeers Came in Threes

The Musketeers came in threes,
McLuckie, Japp and Grieves,

They sat in the corner
Like Little Jack Horner,

And listened with deaf ears
To our pleas,

NLC must be having a giggle,
Watching these three
Squirm and wriggle,

But the councillors better watch out,
Next election election they could be out,

So ladies and gents ,
Make every vote count,

And don't settle for less
Than the full amount !!!
