Another Arrogant Tosser

I didn't watch all of last night's 'challengers' debate in the general election, but I saw enough to conclude that Ed Miliband is an arrogant tosser.

Because instead of holding his hands up and accepting that the Westminster Parliament requires root and branch reform, he is effectively making the same old pitch that the Labour Party has been making for decades:

'Vote Labour and thing will be just fine!'

Now everyone knows this to be insulting nonsense for two reasons.

Firstly, no single party, Tory or Labour, is capable of winning a majority share of the popular vote and so the Westminster Parliament is highly unrepresentative and does not reflect public opinion.

Secondly, even if Labour were to scrape over the finishing line and end up as the largest party at Westminster, Labour will lack a majority of MPs in the House of Commons which Tony Blair and Gordon Brown enjoyed between 1997 and 2010.

So, as things stand, the Westminster Parliament is a 'busted flush' and unless Labour faces up to that reality and agrees to get rid of the First Past The Post Voting (FPTP) system the Party is going nowhere fast.
