Daydream Believer


The Monkees were never a patch on the Beatles - in whose image the four man group was created.

But to be fair - they did make some good records - bright optimistic numbers which captured the age.

My favourite is Daydream Believer - sung by the young Englishman of the group - Davy Jones - who died yesterday at the age of 66.

Daydream Believer was a song of its time - a lively tune that put a spring in your step, lightened your mood and put a smile on your faces.
