Friendly Banter
A young man from Paisley - David Craig - admitted in Glasgow Sheriff Court today to behaving in a threatening manner - likely to cause fear and alarm.
The moron in question posted a fake picture of Celtic manager - Neil Lennon - with bullet holes all over his body and one in the centre of his head - following the Old Firm 'shame game' in March 2011.
David Craig (24) was released on bail - and his sentence was deferred until March - but to my mind he deserves to be named and shamed for his disgusting behaviour - which he tried to explain away as 'banter'.
Police investigated Craig's Facebook page which showed a photo Neil Lennon - wearing a Celtic top - and his body riddled with bullets.
Over the front of his body were the words "Dead man walking" - and underneath was a caption reading: "Neil Lennon dead man!!!!!! UVF1".
The faked picture was posted on Craig's Facebook page the day after the Celtic v Rangers football match - and the court was told that of various exchanges containing sectarian abuse - infused with Northern Irish political phrases and Rangers slogans.
David Craig also left messages calling for Mr Lennon to be 'hanged' - and referred to him as a 'wee fenian poof'.
Who knows whether this sad individual is in gainful employment - or living a life on benefits.
But I hope he gets sent to jail for six months to teach him a lesson - and receives a football banning order, say for 5 years.
Pour encourager les autres - as they say in France.
