Driving In My Car
So Private Eye has scored a direct hit again - with this week's front cover anticipating events surrounding Chris Huhne - the environment secretary having been forced to resign from his position in coalition government in Westminster.
See post dated 3 February 2012 - 'More Women Drivers'.
Normally I would not comment about the personal lives of politicians - but there are exceptions to this general rule.
And it has to be said that Chris Huhne treated his ex-wife - Vicky Pryce - in the most shabby manner.
After years of marriage he dumped her in the most humiliating fashion - for another and much younger woman - who just happened to be his press aide.
Even though both were - and still are - senior figures in the same Liberal Democrat party where everyone knows each other.
Vicky Price is a formidable career woman - an economist - in her own right.
She told the BBC that her husband announced that their 27-year marriage was over - during the half-time break of a televised World Cup match in June 2010.
Chris Huhne then went straight to his study and wrote a statement for the press.
Not dissimilar behaviour to that of the former Labour MP and government minister - Robin Cook - who dumped his wife by telephone at Heathrow Airport as he was about to board a plane.
Makes you wonder what's wrong with politicians.
People's relationships end all the time - for all kinds of reasons - but there is an issue about trying to behave well - or at least like a human being.
So after humiliating his wife - the tables have been turned on Chris Huhne in the most dramatic fashion - car crash politics right enough.
