The news from Edinburgh has certainly stirred things up - here's a typical e-mail from a claimant who got in touch by e-mail yesterday.
I have edited the contents slightly to protect the person's identity - but there's no doubt it represents a great start to the New Year.
Let's hope that other councils come to their senses - because the issue is not going to go away by them sticking their heads in the sand.
