South Lanarkshire
Another supportive letter on equal pay has winged its way - to the Hamilton Advertiser this week.
Isn't it great to hear that the fight for equal pay in South Lanarkshire - has support from the 'airts and pairts' of Scotland.
WRONG NOT TO PAY UP
I am writing to concerning the articles in the advertiser about equal pay claims in South Lanarkshire Council.
Quite frankly , South Lanarkshire Council's behaviour in all this is absurd and extremely worrying.
Thanks to Mark Irvine and his astute perseverance in this case, the can of worms has finally been opened - and the worms just keep coming out of the can!
There is no place left for them to hide now.
South Lanarkshire Council have failed their staff miserably over equal pay, and had to be held to ransom over the Freedom of Information Act.
It is time this council got their act together and sorted out their equal pay claims for low paid workers, and the sooner the better for all concerned.
Thanks to the Advertiser for this informative journalism. Your associates in the Guardian would have a hey day with this!
