The Human Zoo

Dominique Strauss-Khan (DSK) - the disgraced former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is now known by various nicknames including 'hot bunny' or 'chaud lapin' - which some  folks call him France.

But having returned to his native country this powerful French socialist now has some explaining to do - about his fall from grace - and his 'Tom-catting' sexual behaviour with a New York chambermaid in a swanky Manhattan hotel.

To help in this task DSK turned to Claire Chazal - an old friend of his wealthy wife, Anne Sinclair - who seems to turn a blind eye to her 'rutting chimpanzee' of a husband - as he was described by a young French woman - Tristane Banon.

Banon alleges that she was also attacked by DSK - several years ago - while trying to conduct an interview with the French politician.

Meanwhile Claire Chazal allows DSK to explain his side of the story on live TV - except that he doesn't tell us a thing about what actually happened - all he says is what didn't happen.

Strangely the interviewer didn't hound the old 'hound-dog' - Jeremy Paxman style - and just allowed him to waffle on interminably about his 'moral failing' and why the whole of France should feel his pain - as if he were some kind of victim.

‘A trap, well that’s possible. A conspiracy? We’ll see.’ - DSK told his 'pit-bull' of an interrogator - Claire Chazal.

But of course without any back-story to explain how a low-paid chambermaid could possibly - at 9am in the morning and in his own hotel bedroom - seduce and render helpless one of the most powerful men in France - if not the whole world.
Civil courts on both sides of the Atlantic will now probably decide whether this 'old goat' - is also a lying 'old toad'.

Me - I think the 'hot bunny' deserves everything he's got coming to him - though I do sincerely hope that Jeremy Paxman gets to interview DSK - if he ever comes to the UK.

In fact I'll bet the BBC could sell tickets.
